My take on casting the Bone series, Part One

Zac Efron as Fone Bone- Zac has had the lead role in several films and Fone is the main narrator of the story

Sam Rockwell as Phoney Bone- I see Phoney as a Justin Hammer type

Adam Sandler as Smiley Bone- Smiley is- I think- known as the class clown-village idiot combo, and Sandler would do phenomenally well in that role 

Emma Watson as Thorn- Thorn reminds me of Hermione in a lot of ways- she can be both a very good friend and an extremely determined fighter

Maggie Smith as Gran'ma Ben- Ben is very much the McGonagall type- grandmother one minute and "don't mess with me" the next

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as the Two Rat Creatures- their rapport and comedic timing as evidenced by the Key & Peele series would be brilliant in this role

Kevin Hart as Ted- In addition being the first friendly creature Fone encounters in the valley, Ted pops up again and again throughout the series; plus, Kevin strikes me as someone who can do a lot with a little- much like Jonathan Groff in Hamilton

Harrison Ford as Kingdok and Julie Walters as the Hooded One- Old and experienced actors playing old and experienced villains

Michael Gambon as the Great Red Dragon- I see the Dragon very much as an Albus Dumbledore type- involved in the story but not in the middle of the action

Thoughts on the Far from Home trailer

I might see where the " Far from Home " title comes in. Maybe the plot of the movie involves Peter dealing with multiversal shenanigans to try to get his friends and family to remember him again. Maybe it's that Peter's "far from home" in a literal sense- MJ, Ned and Aunt May don't remember him any more.  Is there a Loki connection? Maybe this is where we get the explanation for multiple Peter Parkers and the villains from previous Spider-Man franchises. Maybe they were the Spider-Men/villains on pruned timelines (and maybe this'll be the in-universe explanation in the movie- not any drama related to studios or lack of box office revenue or the actors or what-have-you reasons for why the previous iterations stopped at two movies each- their timelines were simply pruned/stopped).  We might also see a wasteland-type thing with multiple Doc Ock variants like we saw with Alligator/Kid/Classic/Boastful Loki. What should be in the Lightning Thief TV series? (SPOILER WARNING)

Fair warning- this is all essentially a giant spoiler for those of you that haven't read all ten books.  LOOK AWAY NOW SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER You have been warned. Okay. *Geographic casting- Richmond, Virginia for Annabeth; NYC, New York for Percy; Phoenix, Arizona for Clarisse, etc. *A one-take rule for all scenes- you don't get do-overs on your lines in real life   1. The raft that Percy and Annabeth ride to Circe's Island in Sea of Monsters should be the same raft that picks Leo up from Calypso's island in House of Hades . 2. For the scene in Lightning Thief where Luke uses his switchblade to scrape some mud off the sole of his sandal, he should open two blades- he should open and close a bronze blade before opening and using a steel blade. This would foreshadow both his eventual use of the Backbiter sword (half Celestial bronze and half tempered steel) and his full switch to the side of Kronos (i.e. turning his back on the Celestial bronze side and using t...

Should there be a Harry Potter the Series?

Long story short, it would be one book per season and one chapter per episode. The biggest argument people would have against it would be that it would recast the characters, and my suggestion would be to have the original HP actors intimately involved with casting to help somewhat assuage concerns. Reason 1: A lot of good book moments were left out of the films. Harry's more snarky side, Harry and Ginny's relationship, "there's no need to call me 'sir', professor"; characters like Justin Creevey and Demelza Robins, Percy reconciling with his family, Voldemort's backstory, etc. Reason 2: Voldemort's death was better in the books. In the Deathly Hallows book, Voldemort just keels over backwards. His movie death is a lot grander than he deserved. Reason 3: Some movie moments were just unnecessary. Like in the Half-Blood Prince: Ginny didn't need to tie Harry's shoelace and the Death Eaters didn't need to set the Burrow on fire.
