What are possible next ideas for various works?

Harry Potter The companion book Quidditch through the Ages adapted into a miniseries.  Ratatouille A documentary or docuseries showing how Colette went from being a chef at a Paris restaurant to being on the cover of a magazine in Minnesota (as seen in Inside Out ).  The Golden Palace An interview format where Don Cheadle reprises his role as hotel manager Roland Wilson and talks about the events of the series from his perspective. Can also be done with Betty White (Rose Nylund), Cheech Marin (chef Chuy Castillos) and Billy L. Sullivan (Oliver).   Twelfth Night A short video showing the events of the shipwreck prior to the events of the play  RuneScape This might sound crazy, but an idea I've been having involves a high schooler who's obsessed with completing every quest actually transported into the game- and they can't leave until they've finished every quest. Old quests should also be included.  Backstage *A new group of students at the Keaton Performi...

Now see, this is why we need a Darcy Lewis biography

It had been reported earlier that Darcy Lewis would appear in WandaVision for her first MCU appearance since Thor: Dark World in 2013.  We now know that she's now Dr. Darcy Lewis- not the "I'm not dying for six college credits" and "they took my iPod" intern/assistant to Jane Foster from Thor back in 2011. However, we don't know how or where or when she got her doctorate- another reason a biography might be necessary.  But then again, maybe we'll know when the first two WandaVision episodes drop tomorrow.

My take on casting the Bone series, Part One

Zac Efron as Fone Bone- Zac has had the lead role in several films and Fone is the main narrator of the story Sam Rockwell as Phoney Bone- I see Phoney as a Justin Hammer type Adam Sandler as Smiley Bone- Smiley is- I think- known as the class clown-village idiot combo, and Sandler would do phenomenally well in that role  Emma Watson as Thorn- Thorn reminds me of Hermione in a lot of ways- she can be both a very good friend and an extremely determined fighter Maggie Smith as Gran'ma Ben- Ben is very much the McGonagall type- grandmother one minute and "don't mess with me" the next Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as the Two Rat Creatures- their rapport and comedic timing as evidenced by the Key & Peele series would be brilliant in this role Kevin Hart as Ted- In addition being the first friendly creature Fone encounters in the valley, Ted pops up again and again throughout the series; plus, Kevin strikes me as someone who can do a lot with a little- much like J...

Debate- Expanding the Harry Potter universe

Why there should be a Hermione miniseries We'd learn more about her- her first visit to Diagon Alley, when she found out about Hogwarts, when she performed magic for the first time.  Why there shouldn't be a Hermione miniseries We want to learn more about the less-talked-about characters- Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Terry Boot, Ernie Macmillan, etc. Why there should be a Quidditch through the Ages miniseries We'd learn more about the evolution of the game- goal sizes, rule changes, leagues, etc.- not just the game as we know it from Sorcerer's Stone.  Why there shouldn't be a Quidditch through the Ages miniseries Quidditch has been talked about enough- why not a miniseries on old wizarding neighborhoods or the Triwizard Tournament or the process of becoming an Animagus?

What should be in the Lightning Thief pilot episode?

Artifacts in the art museum showing- with no context- the adventures to come over the ensuing seasons. The same should go for a time-lapse of what Mr. Brunner talks about in his Latin class. Percy and Annabeth should both have monologues about sensitive topics. As the only person in earshot would be the viewer, this would build a sense of trust between the viewers and Percy and the viewers and Annabeth- useful as they're two of the main narrators of the series.

If (note I said if) I was the Lightning Thief showrunner...

I'd hold auditions for the characters based on where they are from in the books.  Similarly, I'd make sure to include on audition requirements which characters need valid passports.  When filming scenes, anything the actors say or do (as long as they stick to the scripts) would be what's seen in the episode. People misspeak in real life. People flub words in real life.  Release dates of each season would correspond to time progression as seen in the books- this would essentially mean back-to-back filming.  I'd look for construction of an actual, habitable Camp Half-Blood set in Long Island- not only to film scenes but also so people can live there for a "year-round camper" persona.  I'd look to have the "meeting Ares in a diner in Denver" scene filmed at the Denver Diner in Denver, Colorado.  I'd have an actual Argo II constructed to be not only habitable but also able to sail on water- the same would go for Clarisse's ironclad.

How should Big Bang Theory be expanded?

Option A: Shows about Howard's and Penny's childhood are a better choice because TBBT set up some potential episode plot points. What were the full circumstances behind Howard's dad leaving? What did his dad actually put in the letter? How protectively did his mom raise him? When did he get interested in engineering? Did he have as lonely a childhood as Sheldon did? And there are some questions about Penny's childhood, also- her relationship with her dad, her relationship with her brother, when she started dating, when her brother first dabbled in drugs, what her last name is, etc. On the other hand, maybe some things don't need to be resolved. Going off the "always better in your imagination" trope, this could work the same for Penny's last name- just keep it in mystery. The same thing goes for the letter Howard's dad wrote him- it could be that what audiences think is inside the letter is more interesting (not to mention the fact that TBBT offere...

Grab Bag #6

I should point out that I'm in no way a breaking news source- I post and comment on news articles that I read. With that being said... We know that the Guardians will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder , and that Thor will most likely appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 , given that he left with them at the conclusion of Endgame . Will we get an MCU-Star Wars crossover in the third Guardians film- perhaps a descendant of Rey or Finn or Poe? It would be awesome if that actually happened but there's always fanfic.  Would anyone else be interested in a Big Bang Theory spinoff focusing on Howard's childhood? Simon Helberg could return to narrate.  Or a spinoff focusing on Penny's childhood- Kaley Cuoco could return to narrate and we might finally learn Penny's last name. A Night Court reboot is in the works which will focus on Abby Stone taking her late father's place on the bench (Harry T. Anderson, who portrayed Harry Stone, sadly passed away back in 2018).  I...

MCU Expansion Ideas

An actual Nova lecture on Einstein-Rosen bridges as delivered by Erik Selvig (seen briefly in Spider-Man: Far from Home as an in-flight entertainment option)  Hardback biographies about various characters- Bruce Banner, Bucky Barnes, Clint Barton, Phil Coulson, Carol Danvers, Jane Foster, Nick Fury, Eric Killmonger, Scott Lang, Ned Leeds, Darcy Lewis, Peter Parker, Virginia "Pepper" Potts, Peter Quill, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Thaddeus Ross, Erik Selvig, Tony Stark, Stephen Strange, Sam Wilson, etc.

What do I want to see in...

The Eternals : Thanos before he became hunting-the-stones Thanos.  Captain Marvel 2 : A now grown-up Monica Rambeau detailing the Snap from her point of view. Shang-Chi : Some kind of a callback to the 2008 Iron Man film- if you don't remember, the Ten Rings forced Tony to build the Jericho missile while he was in captivity.    Ms. Marvel : I'd like to see some kind of an appearance from Maria Rambeau- a message, a flashback, something, if she isn't still alive. If not in this series then in the Captain Marvel sequel.  Spider-Man 3 : I'd like to see Tony Stark/Iron Man appear in some capacity- a dream or a message of some kind or something as simple as a voicemail message that Peter forgot to check, given that Tony was really Peter's first mentor.  The Falcon and the Winter Soldier : I'd like to see a now-elderly Steve Rogers appear in an advisory role.

Animated History of the World- Potential Series- Groundwork Part One

The Pixar film The Good Dinosaur  takes place on an alternate world where humans live with dinosaurs. It's my theory that Miles Morales' world in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is later on this alternate world. The other idea here, of course, is that Peter B. Parker is from our Earth- i.e. Finding Nemo and Finding Dory and Toy Story . If there aren't multiple Earths in an animated-movie sense, where do these movies/series fit in and when? Cars- implied to be a post-apocalyptic Earth with cars instead of people. Aladdin- implied, by the Genie, to be thousands of years after the twentieth century, and most likely in a post-apocalyptic reconstruction of Arabia. Wall-E: Humanity's destruction of Earth resulted in Earth's population remaining on spaceships for hundreds of years.  SpongeBob SquarePants: If you want to get really dark, they're the victims of a nuclear disaster.  Big Hero 6: Twenty-sixth century San Fransokyo. We can assume that Ralph Breaks the I...

Grab Bag #5

I should point out now that most of my other ideas for the Lightning Thief TV show involve spoilers for all ten Lightning Thief/Heroes of Olympus books. Game of Thrones will be getting a prequel series.  As far as Supergirl goes, the only info I have is that it will return sometime in the spring. Grey's Anatomy , meanwhile, will return on March 4th.  Cobra Kai 's fourth season is currently in the works.  His Dark Materials will conclude with the upcoming third season. Vikings will end with the upcoming sixth season although a spinoff- Valhalla - is in the works.  Riverdale 's fifth season and Batwoman 's second season will premiere later this month.

My ideas for the Lightning Thief TV series- Part One

Auditions for the main characters should be where the characters are actually from Percy- NYC Annabeth- Virginia Clarisse- Phoenix, Arizona Luke and his mom- Westport, Connecticut Rachel- Manhattan Meg (Trials of Apollo)- Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan No chemistry test for Percy and Annabeth In the books, they meet for the first time at camp. Why not have the actors playing them meet the same way? An actual Camp Half-Blood set on Long Island  Not just a convienent filming location but a habitable camp as well- it could add some more realism to Annabeth's year-round persona Divided into parts, not seasons Have TV time follow book time in terms of release dates of each section *For instance, Son of Neptune finale and Mark of Athena premiere should release as back-to-back episodes

Grab Bag #4

WandaVision is scheduled for a nine-episode run and will have the finale episode on March 12th- seven days before the pilot of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . In addition to the titular pair, we'll also see Darcy Lewis from Thor and Thor: Dark World , Agent Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp , and a now grown-up Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel , which I assume means she was one of the people who weren't victims of Thanos' snap in Avengers: Infinity War .  Speaking of Captain Marvel , Imani Khan- who we'll see in the upcoming series Ms. Marvel - will also star in Captain Marvel 2 , although no one knows in what way. One of the things I'd like to see in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is a now-elderly Steve Rogers appearing in an advisory role. I'd like to see the cast of High School Musical 3 reunite over a Zoom call as a check-in as to how their careers are going since they graduated from East High in 2008. How's Gabriella's law career? How's...

Grab Bag #3

I'd like to see a Zoom reunion with the Pitch Perfect 3 cast to get a career update after the final film in the trilogy in 2017. How's Flo's juice cart business coming along? How's Emily's songwriting career? How did Cynthia-Rose do in flight school?  There are a couple of reasons I'd rename the Lightning Thief TV show from "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" to "The Half-Blood Chronicles". The current logo/title reminds me too much of the awful movie adaptations, the new title introduces the demigod world as bigger then just as how Percy sees it, and it opens the door to tie-in adventures related to Egyptian (Kane Chronicles), Norse (Magnus Chase) and even African and Korean and Mayan mythology.  If the Harry Potter books get adapted into a TV show, there are two big moments I'd keep out of season six- Ginny tying Harry's shoelaces and the Death Eaters destroying the Burrow. I'd also keep Dumbledore's death the way it was in ...

What would I like to see?

Hermione   A brief miniseries showing Hermione Granger before she boarded the Hogwarts express for the first time- when she got her letter, visiting Diagon Alley, etc. Emma Watson could return to narrate the series.   Quidditch through the Ages The Harry Potter companion material adapted into a documentary or docuseries.  Colette An animated documentary which would show how Colette from Ratatouille went from being a chef at a restaurant in Paris to being on a magazine cover in Minnesota (as seen in 2015's Inside Out ).  Young Howard A Big Bang Theory spin-off which would focus on Howard's childhood- his dad leaving, his relationship with his mom, how he became interested in science, etc. Simon Helberg could return to narrate.

My take on how the female HSM3 characters ended up

Kelsi graduated from Julliard in 2012 and has put together an impressive portfolio as a conductor, with her credits including Grease: Live, In the Heights, Hamilton, Rent, Wicked, Lightning Thief: The Musical, Oliver, Annie, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Annie Get Your Gun and West Side Story. She's currently working on music for Moana Live and Zootopia: The Musical.  After a brief Broadway stint, Sharpay split her time between Shakespeare acting and- interestingly enough- helping to run Lava Springs Country Club. Between 2010 and 2018, her acting credits included Romeo and Juliet, All's Well that Ends Well, The Merchant of Venice, As you Like It, Othello, Julius Caesar, Twelfth Night, The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream.   Tiara attended East High until she graduated in 2010. She found out she had a natural affinity for soccer in the summer of 2008 and led EHS to a state title as a senior. She is still second all-time in school history with 39 assists, despite ...

After the events of Pitch Perfect 3- my take

Becca later became the head of the Residual Heat recording studio and was the reason Dax (from the second film) started working for DJ Khaled. Under Khaled's tutelage, Dax found a passion for talent scouting and helped produce three gold records. Becca later started an internship pipeline program with Barden University and Residual Heat.  Flo's juice cart business expanded to thirty-two carts across seven states- Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio- with plans to expand into West Virginia, Alabama and Mississippi.  Cynthia-Rose graduated Air Force flight school top of her class and actually switched branches to work as a naval aviator. Emily not only wrote songs for several well-known artists but produced three studio albums herself- she titled her debut album Flashlight and it was produced at Residual Heat. She credited the Barden Bellas as the inspiration behind her getting into producing solo albums- the name of her second album, by the ...

Where do I see the HSM3 characters now? (Post One- the male characters)

After graduating in 2008, Zeke Baylor went from working for a local baker to studying in Paris to opening up his own bake shop, which later expanded into Arizona (2016), New Mexico and southern California (2018) and finally Las Vegas in 2019.  Jason Cross returned to the East High basketball program after graduating in 2008, where he worked his way up from Volunteer Assistant to Strength and Conditioning Coach to Assistant Coach to Associate Head Coach, a role that he still holds today. He got engaged to Martha Cox in 2018.   In addition to being basketball co-captain/captain until he graduated in 2011, Donny Dion finished as the best point guard in East High history, surpassing "Spider" Bill Natrine with the most assists in a career. He also finished with the career assist-to-turnover ratio record.  Jimmy "Rocket-Man" Zara remained the basketball co-captain until he graduated from East High in 2010. His writing skills in high school and college transitioned int...

Cast and Crew for Potential Projects (my ideas)

Bone- animated series Jeff Smith on the writing staff as lead writer  *Keep in mind I listed some reasons on some earlier blog posts, so I'll just run through my proposed cast- feel free to comment below Fone Bone- Zac Efron Phoney Bone- Sam Rockwell Smiley Bone- Adam Sandler Thorn- Emma Watson Gran'ma Ben- Maggie Smith Lucius Down- Dwayne Johnson Ted- Kevin Hart Ted's Brother- Shaquille O'Neal The Great Red Dragon- Michael Gambon The Two Rat Creatures- Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele  Jonathan Oaks- Tom Holland Wendell- Chris Evans Rory- Robert Downey Jr Euclid- Mark Ruffalo Kingdok- Harrison Ford The Hooded One- Julia Walters Miz' Possum- Bonnie Wright Big Johnson Bone (prequel series)- Daniel Radcliffe   Quidditch through the Ages documentary Steve Kloves as writer and David Heyman as producer Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright as narrators- this would be a reference to the respective Quidditch exploits of their characters  Casting should take place in re...

What do I want in the Lightning Thief TV series?

1. A new title I'd rather it be called "The Half-Blood Chronicles" rather than "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" for two reasons. First, it would open the door easier to include not only Greek and Roman mythology but also Egyptian (Kane Chronicles) and Norse (Magnus Chase) mythology- in other words, it could connect all of Rick Riordan's books and form a connected universe. Well, that and the fact that the current logo reminds me too much of the two (failed attempts at) movies and I'd much rather the TV series moved as far away from them as possible. Anyway... The second reason is it tells us right away that the demigod world is bigger than how Percy Jackson is introduced to it.  2. Geographic casting Hear me out on this one- if Percy is from NYC and Rachel is from Manhattan and Clarisse is from Phoenix and Luke is from Westport (Connecticut) and Annabeth is from somewhere in Virginia it would make sense to have the actors playing those roles actually be...
