What do I want in the Lightning Thief TV series?

1. A new title
I'd rather it be called "The Half-Blood Chronicles" rather than "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" for two reasons.
First, it would open the door easier to include not only Greek and Roman mythology but also Egyptian (Kane Chronicles) and Norse (Magnus Chase) mythology- in other words, it could connect all of Rick Riordan's books and form a connected universe. Well, that and the fact that the current logo reminds me too much of the two (failed attempts at) movies and I'd much rather the TV series moved as far away from them as possible.
Anyway...
The second reason is it tells us right away that the demigod world is bigger than how Percy Jackson is introduced to it. 

2. Geographic casting
Hear me out on this one- if Percy is from NYC and Rachel is from Manhattan and Clarisse is from Phoenix and Luke is from Westport (Connecticut) and Annabeth is from somewhere in Virginia it would make sense to have the actors playing those roles actually be living there, right? It'd lend an extra layer of realism to the role.
I'd also like their familial situations to match up, but more on that later. 

3. No chemistry test for Percy and Annabeth
Again, hear me out- in the books, Percy and Annabeth first meet at camp. Wouldn't it make sense for the actors playing them to go through the same thing?
And speaking of camp...

4. A life-size Camp Half-Blood
Just to add to the realism, an actual, habitable Camp Half-Blood set should be constructed on Long Island so people can actually not only live there but eat the same food and participate in the same activities and sing the same campfire songs as mentioned in the book. And I think that whoever is cast to play Annabeth should be cast six or so months before principal photography begins and live at camp for that length of time to add an extra layer of realism to her "year-round" persona. 
Plus building the set could mean productive time while waiting out (what I hope is) the recovery from COVID.  

5. Book time translated into release time of the various segments (more on this in previous posts and some upcoming posts).

Thoughts on the Far from Home trailer

I might see where the " Far from Home " title comes in. Maybe the plot of the movie involves Peter dealing with multiversal shenanigans to try to get his friends and family to remember him again. Maybe it's that Peter's "far from home" in a literal sense- MJ, Ned and Aunt May don't remember him any more.  Is there a Loki connection? Maybe this is where we get the explanation for multiple Peter Parkers and the villains from previous Spider-Man franchises. What should be in the Lightning Thief TV series? (SPOILER WARNING)

Fair warning- this is all essentially a giant spoiler for those of you that haven't read all ten books.  LOOK AWAY NOW SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER You have been warned. Should there be a Harry Potter the Series?

Long story short, it would be one book per season and one chapter per episode. The biggest argument people would have against it would be that it would recast the characters, and my suggestion would be to have the original HP actors intimately involved with casting to help somewhat assuage concerns. Reason 1: A lot of good book moments were left out of the films. Harry's more snarky side, Harry and Ginny's relationship, "there's no need to call me 'sir', professor"; characters like Justin Creevey and Demelza Robins, Percy reconciling with his family, Voldemort's backstory, etc. Reason 2: Voldemort's death was better in the books. In the Deathly Hallows book, Voldemort just keels over backwards. His movie death is a lot grander than he deserved. Reason 3: Some movie moments were just unnecessary. Like in the Half-Blood Prince: Ginny didn't need to tie Harry's shoelace and the Death Eaters didn't need to set the Burrow on fire.
