British/Australian Actors I Can See in the MCU- Part One

Niamh Blackshaw
Niamh portrayed Juliet Nightingale on Hollyoaks from 2018 until her character's death from Hodgkin's Lymphoma earlier this summer. If you need proof of Niamh's acting skills, watch several clips: her nonverbal acting in "It's Not Good News", her sort-of speech to Peri in "I Love You So Much", the scene where she's trying on her wedding veil in "Juliet's Lie Discovered" and her screaming match/subsequent scene with Peri in "A Brave Decision"- in fact, just watch all of "A Brave Decision". Then read her filmography in Wikipedia and realize that, before Hollyoaks, her major acting credits were five episodes of Coronation Street and a short film.
*Seriously, if Niamh isn't at least considered for a role in the MCU I'll personally fly to their studios in Burbank.

Daisy Campbell
At just nineteen, Daisy's been given some interesting storylines in her role as Amelia on Emmerdale and has come through them with flying colors. One clip which showcases her acting abilities is when her character confides in Noah- another character- about a lump she found on her breast.

Jemma Donovan
If you've never heard of this English/Australian actress, she's showing off her incredible acting range with her starring role in Hollyoaks. While on the Australian soap Neighbours, she portrayed Harlow Robinson, who although not a saint was someone you could imagine yourself sitting with at lunch. On Hollyoaks, however, her character Rayne could charitably be described as a conceited, manipulative influencer-type... and she can portray either character just as convincingly. I can't make myself hate Harlow, but I definitely hate Rayne.

Millie Gibson
Known for portraying Kelly Neelan on Coronation Street, Millie entered the cast in 2019 when she was around fifteen and exited the cast last year when she was just eighteen. If you need proof of her acting chops despite her age, there are clips where her character (a) is too late to see her mom before she dies from cancer, (b) finds out that Imran dies and breaks the news in the pub, (c) finds out that her foster father killed her biological dad and (d) says a tearful goodbye to Aadi, another character on the show.

Sam Hall
Sam's Emmerdale character Samson has been a bit of a prick lately, given that he's fathered Amelia's baby but shows no interest in being part of Esther's life (Esther being Amelia's daughter). I put Sam Hall in the same category as Jack Gleeson- I'd hang out with them but not with their characters (Samson Dingle and Joffrey Baratheon).

Bradley Johnson
Bradley has been portraying Vinny Dingle on Emmerdale since 2019. His acting talent is notable for the scenes where his character says goodbye to Liv before she passes away from injuries, when he gets back together with Liv sometime before that and especially when his character lashes out at Mandy- another character on the show- about two months after Liv's death.

Ruby O'Donnell
As someone who only got into following the storylines of various British and Australian soap operas around three years ago, I didn't know that Ruby first appeared on Hollyoaks as Peri Lomax a decade ago and is still part of the cast (and the fact that she's yet to be more well-known by American audiences is insane). Ruby's acting abilities have only improved during her character's most recent storylines which include her off-and-on-and-off-Ross-and-Rachel-type relationship with Juliet Nightingale and Juliet's cancer storyline. Some examples of her acting skill include her and Juliet's screaming match/reconciliation in the clip "A Brave Decision", her trying to convince Juliet not to break up with her (and nonverbal reaction afterwards) in "We Should Break Up" and her scenes in "Juliet's Last Request".

Billy Price
Known for his role as Sid Sumner in Hollyoaks, Billy's character has had a bunch of storylines over his time on the show- being homeless, being part of a drug-trafficking ring and losing his leg to amputation, among others- and each storyline showcases his varied acting range. And if you want nonverbal acting, watch his reaction when Sid finds out he's permanently excluded from Hollyoaks High.
